The 5 Micron Carbon Block Filters are wrapped with food-grade polypropylene to avoid secondary pollution. Their service life is also 6-12 months or 15,000 gallons, depending on water quality. It is recommended to flush the Carbon Block Filters with clean water for five minutes before use.
